5.1 Sending and retrieving emails
using Eudora 5.1
NOTE: Instructions below assumes that you are
currently connected to the internet and have installed Eudora 5.1 program onto your
computer. Please follow the instructions below to send and retrieve emails using Eudora.
Creating an email account profile:
- Start the Qualcomm Eudora program.
- Click "Tools" from the
menu and select "Options...".
- Under the category "Getting Started",
you will need to fill out the empty fields.
- Type your real name as you wish it to appear
along with your email address in messages (ex: Mr. Smith) in the Real Name:
field.
- Type your email address in the Return
address: field. (ex: joe@calview.com).
NOTE: If hosting your domain, you will require to enter your domain name
instead (ex: joe@yourcompany.com).
- Type "mail.calview.com"
in the Mail Server (Incoming): field.
- Enter your Calview Netlink username in the Login
Name: field. For example, user "joe" would enter joe
(NOT joe@calview.com)
- Type "mail.calview.com"
in the SMTP Server (Outgoing): field.
NOTE: If you're a Calview Netlink Dialup user, and have been
instructed to use SMTP authentication, place checkmark under "Allow
authentication".
- Click "OK" and your
done!
- Congratulations! You're ready to start using
Eudora client email. Open the program and click "Check Mail"
for emails.
