Dial-up Instructions
Please follow the instructions below to connect
using Windows 2000 operating system:
- Click on the "Start" button.
Select Programs, Accessories, then Dialup
Networking. This will start Dialup Networking.
- If no entry exists, a dialogue box will ask you
to click "OK" (you then need to skip to step #1 below).
- If not, click "New."
- Select "Dial-up to a private network,"
and click "Next". Enter the telephone number of your local dialup Point of
Presence (POP). click "Next."
- Choose "For all users." click
"Next."
- Name your connection "Calview Netlink"
- Click "Finish."
You will need to modify your connection to dial
into Calview.
- Select "Calview Netlink" and click
"Properties."
- Click on the "Networking" tab.
- Uncheck "NetBEUI" and uncheck
"Client for Microsoft Networks."
- Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and
click "Properties."
- Click the radio button next to "Use the
Following DNS server addresses."
Fill in the following fields with:
- Preferred DNS server: 209.133.32.11
- Alternate DNS server: 209.133.32.12
- Click "OK" two times.
You are now ready to dial using your new
connection. |
